On 7 May 2025, during the Net Zero Cities annual conference in Vilnius, Dijon Métropole was officially awarded the EU Mission Label for its Climate City Contract, recognizing its ambitious roadmap toward climate neutrality.

This label, granted by the European Commission to 39 new cities in 2025, highlights Dijon’s leadership in sustainable urban transformation. The recognition opens new opportunities for funding and partnerships, reinforcing Dijon’s role as a pioneer among Europe’s 100 climate-neutral and smart cities.  

This achievement also helps strengthen the relationships between RESPONSE cities that have earned the label, making it easier for them to work together and share new ideas across the network.
