Citizens Empowerment
Dijon
The Dijon Metropolis employs Civocracy, an innovative digital engagement platform, to inform and involve citizens. Launched online on 12/07/2022, Dijon’s Civocracy page called Fontaine d’Ouche: a positive-energy neighborhood! (Fontaine d’Ouche : quartier à énergies positives ! in French) enables the city of Dijon and its local partners to share project-related content such as interviews, news, and events. This tool helps Dijon Metropole deliver engaging content through quizzes and questionnaires. The platform’s goals include providing information on the RESPONSE project stages, sharing project highlights, promoting interviews with participants, and creating co-branded content to showcase collaborative efforts in the new eco-neighborhood while engaging with Fontaine
Turku
Turku utilizes mentor method to implement citizen engagement activities in the PED. Turku University on Applied Sciences coordinates the mentor activities and the mentor group consists of active residents of the Student village, PED in Turku. The mentors learn about the project and energy related issues in the area in order to be able to organize engaging activities and share knowledge in their communication channels. The PED residents can follow the mentor activities and contact the group via social media, where they also share information on the project and energy topic.
